Strengthening Neural Connections in the Brain

Strengthening the neural connections in the brain can improve your response to stress.

A new study at Yale University has revealed the relationship between stress and the neural pathways of the brain itself. * https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/05/200527123327.htm

The Yale team found that when neural connections between the hippocampus and frontal cortex were stronger, subjects reported feeling less stressed when presented with images designed to evoke fear or stress. The authors note there is also evidence from other studies that those suffering from mental health disorders such as anxiety may have difficulty receiving calming feedback from the frontal cortex in times of stress.
